80th Birthday Gift

Built this Airfix 1:48 Lightning as a gift to my father on his 80th birthday. As an apprentice, he worked around the lightning. I re jiggered some of the decals and added different tail letters to represent the static display bird at Duxford IWM. It was on the whole a lovely build, went together really well with no major fit issues. I used a set of Neomega resin cockpit extras. Vallejo acrylics, AK real colour markers and Vallejo top coats.
