GIs playing Baseball
Jabo - Strike Three

A group of soldiers are enjoying a pickup baseball game in liberated Normandy, with other soldiers and civilians watching, when suddenly some of them notice an (off-screen) Fw 190A8 Jabo streaking in for the attack - heads are starting to turn in shock.

The Jabo will not be seen, but inferred from the looks of some observers. The base is mounted on a plaque made to look like "home plate" - I got it from a trophy store. I have it at three levels - the playing field/park, the sidewalk and the street. The base is finished (though I'll probably tweak it to reflect where I put the figures).

There is a now-built "table" (boards stretched over up-ended 50-gallon German oil drums) - this is where the beer keg will go. I have some benches I might use for seating (not sure). While this area was spared the worst of close-quarters combat, there are a few signs of earlier battle damage.

Next steps - complete the "clutter" left by GIs relaxing, and the figures themselves.
