The result is very nice, but how was this kit to build? I've been thinking about grabbing one for the stash.

It was an easy kit, no fit issues to speak of at all. Of course masking all that glass is a pain in 72nd scale, but not a real problem. You'd probably enjoy building this kit! Thanks for the kind comment on the finished model 🙂
