Hawk 75A-2 No 107 was originally assigned to GC1/4 2nd escadrille in October 1939. Piloted by Lt. J Tardy de Montravel who had a single confirmed kill flying it, downing a KG54 He111.
It was subsequently located at Villacoublay in June 1940, where Etampes DAT, Sous Lt. Zumbach recovered it, having been shot down in his MS406.c1 the previous day. Making an arduous overland trip, Zumbach and others recovered a number of aircraft from Villacoublay. He flew 11 sorties between 11th & 17th of June without any confirmed victories.
The aircraft was captured intact and sold to Finland in 1941 rebadged as CUw-556 for LeLv 32. Flown by various pilots the plane claimed 11 victories with the Finnish Air Force over the Russians.
