Started model building and rocketry when I was 10 years old and lasted until I found an interest in the opposite sex. After being married, I stumbled back into a hobby shop in 1980-1981 and the fire started all over again. A lot of collecting, some building and now trying to get my grandson interested in the hobby. Eyes and hands are not what they used to be, but not letting that hold me back now that I'm over 65.
The hobby sure has changed and has made fantastic advancements in tooling and detail since the late 1960s and early 70s.

The older I get the more I like 1/32 scale kits. The eyes and manual dexterity seems to fade once you get close to 70. As a teenager in the 60s, 1/72 scale kits were just fine for me and they were cheaper. Now, give me that 1/32 scale kit and I don’t care how much extra it is….
