I've just come back to modelling after 35 a year break and my, how things have changed! All the kits I dreamed that manufacturers would make have appeared (well most). Models that I didn't even know I wanted too. I'm not rich enough to buy everything I want but, once again this super hobby teaches me so much more than a steady hand and how bad my eyes have become over the years.. like, self control and patience. There's the joy of waiting for a kit to come though the post (patience is most useful here at the moment), opening the box, smelling the new plastic, is that weird? The whole process from website to finished kit is a marvelous distraction from life's woes.
My friend and I were keen 1/72nders back in the day (he still is btw) but I now enjoy the larger scale of 1/48 as they suit my old eyes and are more impressive kits when complete. It's very enjoyable traking down 1/48 versions of old 72nd scale kits I once made also. I find your site a great resource for this part of the hobby and found myself coming back again and again. So I thought why not join, so here I am. Hopefully I will find many useful tools here and look foward to being part of the community. Thanks Barney
