Yeah, turned out nice. I'm right in the middle of building my Thunderbirds collection. Five completed (F-84G, T-33, F-84F, F-100 and F-16) Three to go (F-105, F-4 and T-38) Decalling complete on the F-105 and F-5; landing gear and finishing touches tomorrow on both. T-38 part way through decalling; slow going because the decals are old and brittle. I've re-inforced them with a lacquer coat, but I still have to be careful not to move them around much for fear of them breaking. I'm placing one or two decals at a time, and putting the model aside to let the decal dry and fix in place before going on to the next one. A slow process, but should be done in the next couple of days. Then my T-Birds collection will be complete.

Hi Dave 👋.
Good stuff 👍 be nice collection, yes best take your time and get it right.... if the process is working....stick to it as it's final result you will benefit from.
Be sure to put some photos up when you have finished in time.
Good tip on the decals...what lacquer did you choose??

A had an old bottle of Testors clear lacquer. Tried airbrushing it on the sheet, but it needed a much thicker coat, so I ended up brushing it on, full strength. (BOY does that stuff stink! Ended up wearing my respirator!)

Thanks Dave, l purchased some new soviet stars for my Current Beriev project, but couldn't find numbers the same, so I'm hoping l can use them ?

I'm going to paint the red stripe.... So will use the decal stripe to experiment with see what to expect or what l can do to make useable.
