I've seen larger bumblebees! Watching with interest, of course, Robert.
23 May 2022, 20:42

Beautiful work Robert. The suspended equipment is ready ... but where is the main model? 😄 😄 😄
I wish the construction is successful and I will follow with interest.
23 May 2022, 21:54

Feel warmly welcomed, Mates! I have not expected such an interest...
@Łukasz - I read medieval manuscripts (for money in a sense 😉 ), so my sight is already condemned...
@Greg - I am afraid that the undercarriage won't be strong enough to withstand motors... 😉
@Ludvik - I was looking for the main model in the box, but found only these, even though it is written on the box that there are two complete kits inside... LOL 😄
24 May 2022, 07:29

... and what to believe when you can't even rely on information from the manufacturer. 😄 😄 😄
I am very curious what the finished models will look like.
24 May 2022, 10:47

OMG! so tiny!
Only crazy people do something like this 😉Try not to swallow them 😂
3 June 2022, 13:03

You make me consider starting my Chupacabra Robert, but the biggest challenge stopping me so far is the canopy scratchbuilding.
3 June 2022, 13:20

These look neat already, but I can't wait to see them in their full glory. I wish you steady hands, Robert. Don't sneeze!
3 June 2022, 13:32

Thanks for your interest, Mates 🙂
@Łukasz - go for it!!!
@Robin - this is the plan for now, but first I have to find Uschi van den Rosten elastic thread I put somewhere...
3 June 2022, 13:55

Thank you very very much, Maciej! 🙂 and Bughunter too, of course 😉
3 June 2022, 19:37

Robert, making rigging on such small models is almost on a par with shackling a flea. I wish the model building to go well. 👍
5 June 2022, 21:48

Thank you, Ludviku! Fortunately, the rigging is relatively simple here...I hope 😉
6 June 2022, 04:55

Your two dwarfs look very good! 👍 I look forward to seeing them finished.
2 July 2022, 17:03

Thank you for your interest, Bruce and Ludvik - I am back by the bench 😉
2 July 2022, 20:15

You're making good progress on the tiny racing bees. Masking them must have been troublesome?
3 July 2022, 07:31

Thank you, Robin, much appreciated. To be sincere, it was troublesome - vinyl masks on small but complex areas do not work well...
3 July 2022, 07:33

Thank you, Robin, you're too kind to me. I will try better with the R-2...
20 July 2022, 07:23

Thank you all, Mates - but the journey has not finished yet... the R-2 is still to be rigged and finished... @Bughunter - how have you noticed that, Frank? 😉
20 July 2022, 08:43

Wow - fantastic work Robert!
I'd be happy if I did a 1/48 Gee Bee that well.
20 July 2022, 08:47

You're too kind, Łukasz. I am sure it will look much better (from my own experience - be careful with the decals...)
20 July 2022, 08:47

Superb, Robert, I'm very impressed by your workmanship. How on earth did you paint the frames on the tiny canopies? Very neat results 🙂
20 July 2022, 09:26

Thank you, Bruce, much appreciated! To be sincere, the frames are the decals provided with the kit - one of the most thoughtful features of it IMHO.
20 July 2022, 10:27

The decals certainly give a very neat result, Robert. (I've used spare black lines for the same purpose, for 1:72 canopies, but black isn't the right colour on my project). These tiny canopies must have needed a good eye and a steady hand! 🙂
21 July 2022, 09:56

Cleaning and installing the canopies was perhaps the most nerve-shaking process during this build, Bruce. But one should not forget that assembling plastic models is a relaxing hobby... 😉
Thanks Roland!
21 July 2022, 11:54

Wow! Looks grate. Incredible! Congratulations! It looks better than my 1/48 Gee Bee 😉
22 July 2022, 06:29

Keep that one away from children… they're liable to pop it in their mouth! Sweet!
23 July 2022, 06:20

Lovely Chupacabra pill, looks great despite the masking difficulties!
23 July 2022, 08:14

My best wishes for a speedy recovery!
Can you still smell something? I couldn't even smell Tamiya Extra Thin or Alclad - very strange!
23 July 2022, 10:32

Really great work. To build such a nice model in this scale is beyond my comprehension. 👍 I think you could also shackle a flea. 🙂
23 July 2022, 12:20

Thank you all, Mates, for your kind words 😆... I'll try better with the R-2, I promise...
24 July 2022, 05:23

@Robert, are you planning to build the AeroBase one too? That's even tinier!
@Bughunter: I'm just fine, can smell Mr Levelling Thinner at least (sorry for the off topic, Robert)
24 July 2022, 07:34

Thank you, Guy 🙂
@David : I built the AeroBase GeeBee and it is bigger,in fact.
24 July 2022, 09:54

@David: No worries, I am happy to hear that you recovered, too. Take a look at my project photo, there it is (AeroBase GeeBee). Still all aff them are piece of cake compared to your Handley Page...😉
25 July 2022, 06:23

Thank you, Simon, much appreciated 🙂 I've tried to do my best....
21 August 2022, 08:05

Very nice dwarf. I admire your patience and watchmaking precision. Well done! 👍 👍 👍
21 August 2022, 09:39

I suppose the abstinence from coffee was equally important factor... 😉
21 August 2022, 12:22

Wow! The final pair together are astonishing, Robert! Truly superb 👍👍👍
21 August 2022, 15:09

I must refrain from asking if you are tempted to turn that match stick into a propeller.... Something tells me you would succeed 🙂
21 August 2022, 15:11

Incredible. Such a high degree of detailing and cleanness in such a small scale! 👍
22 August 2022, 10:05

Thank you very much, Neuling, I feel honoured with your comment. 🙂
22 August 2022, 10:07

What a nice comparison between those nice two models!
The only bad thing about the Aerobase kits is the availability in Europe.
22 August 2022, 13:29

Thank you, Bughunter, much appreciated... I am sorry about this fact, too
22 August 2022, 13:45

Incredible builds Robert !! Have seen Delmar Benjamin fly the R2 on numerous occasions, now in a museum. One of the most incredible showcases of flying I've ever seen. Thanks for sharing !!
17 October 2022, 02:28

Thank you, John, you're too kind 🙂 I would love to see the R2 in flight, you lucky man 😉
17 October 2022, 04:37

I have to agree with the previous posts. Great work and incredible detail on a model in this scale.
Congratulations Robert! It's certainly a little gem for your collection. 👍
17 October 2022, 11:33

Very good, Robert, my congrats! I have this kit in my stash, too. Your build report is a welcome inspiration. ☺
9 December 2022, 12:58

Thank you, Peter - I will be happy to be of any assistance to you 🙂 Thank you, Torsten, for your kind words.
9 December 2022, 16:09

Fantastic work! My eyesight would not be up to this and it trashes any excuses I have for not rigging 1:72 biplanes.
26 December 2022, 12:44

Thank you, David, much appreciated. I take advantage of the elastic thread in such cases, which is quite user-friendly.
26 December 2022, 15:08

Thank you for reaching this out of my finished kits, Nathan. And you're too kind to me...
