Interesting how the similar camo, in different colours, make her seem smaller than her sister

Spanjaard, permission granted.
Martin, I think that the fact KGV had a grey hull gives this impression

In this model Lode will install a speaker that will play hiphop music, to win the next best of show. The hull looks nice already!

Welcome to the journey, Jörg
Steven, I'm more a Pink Floyd fan, so I thought why not "the great gig in the sky" 😉

Michael, Rui, David, you are most welcome. I'll try to post some photos from time to time

James, I had 3 days off, so a bit of time to continue with the painting. Always fun to do a RN camo. Especially matching the superstructure with the hull

As a former shipman you are, I'll take this as a compliment, Martin

Looks to be slowly coming alive with the addition of the cranes and launches etc
Very nice detail work Lode 👍.

Looks great Lode! May I ask you which colors you did used for the camoflage? It looks spot on and it would fit also to my HMS Roberts monitor...

David, Michael, Christian, Gary, Guy, thank you for your kind replies.
James, you know me. it is all in the details 🙂
Martin, no progress these past weeks since I've had eye surgery. Hopefully within a few weeks
Thomas, I use MRP paint to match as much as possible the right colors. G10 - MRP113, G45 - MRP372; B30 - MRP405, Hull - MRP222 and for B15, I made an own mixture of several blues. The adopted scheme is KGV as depicted in 1943

We saw Lode with very cool looking shades at Scaleworld. He was the king of Pontos.
25 May 2023, 10:45

@Martin : It will surely take some time. I've to wait my second surgery.
@Steven : Thanks buddy. You know I'm fond of that brand, but apparently, impossible to hide it for others 🙂

Lovely detail gone into those tenders and the deck weathering looks fabulous.
1 June 2023, 21:18

Thank you for your kind comment, Mr James
Martin, are you not exaggerating a bit?
3 June 2023, 06:39

Great work. Great details, lovely weathering, a beautiful model. Like it. 👍
3 June 2023, 07:46

Nope, I never exaggerate when discussing your qualities.
I forgot Master of Macho, Boss of Boats and Most Flemish of Friends 😄
Nice ship by the way 😉
5 June 2023, 14:40

Shar Dipree, thank you for liking the details and weathering..
26 July 2023, 15:03

Martin :-D don't you exaggerate by nature? And since when am I Master of Macho? BTW, there is a little chance she will sail to IPMS Belgium mid-September. It depends how final work progress in the next few weeks
26 July 2023, 15:07

I love to heap praise on you. In my opinion, there can't be enough of it.
Plastic and steel is a maybe for now. 16/17 September in Waregem?
27 July 2023, 10:24

Probably not. I don't think she will be finished by mid September. It will depend on the progress next week.
24 August 2023, 09:03

Ok, we will have to wait to see the king of the seas, but i hope to aee you in Weregem anyway 😉
27 August 2023, 09:31

James, thank you so much. It was quite a challenge this time and only partially successful. The main mast wasn't what I intended, but after all, satisfied with the alternative
28 August 2023, 06:23

🥳🥳🥳 Great end result. I love how she looks similar and yet totally different from her sisters. Another build to be very proud of!
11 October 2023, 11:43

I don't know why I missed this so far?! Excellent work, I much love the weathering effects 👍
