Mini Hobby 1:144 Mig-25 FoX Bat

Next little project, quite a decent size for a 1:144, similar to some 1:72 size.
The FoxBat was stainless steel outer construction.
Looks like a quick-ish build? I was getting a bit of building fatigue after 2yr.... So had my foot of the gas a little.
Soapy wash first step back.

This Aircraft always makes me think of the movie FireFox with Clint Eastwood, l think they took few ideas from it... Sutch as fastest and highest flying fighter, twin tail .

The exhaust rounds were a little to round for fus shape.... So a bit of filling required to blend in.

Vertical stabs/Finn's and Horizontal on now,
I use precision super glue on parts that like a bit of strength...has good gap filling too. (Needs it)

A very nice image of the Mig-25 ...this model will really benefit from pre-shading.... My previous attempt didn't work out ....so will have another try on this one.

Ground crew figure l built, it was 6 part figure resin cast, had to use S-glue as poli didn't work at all on the resin.
He's supposed to be Soviet ground crew and has a star on his hat, but l don't know if they used Jerry cans ???

Quite an interesting shape aircraft, the model feels nice n robust at this stage.
The black paint is used to find low spots and imperfections.

The plastic nose Tube,/Antenna? Wasn't very strong!! So l got the dentist drills out and will be using a metal pin , it worked out well on my SU-30. nice n strong.

This one has been an experiment in building with super glue and presision tip.
It definitely builds them stronger and has a good gap filling advantage " Helpful on this one"
Conclusions....is ...build with a combination of poli and super glue depending on application.

There are darker Grey/blue features to go on next, radar cone, tail front edge and wing tips.
Also a black anti-reflection Infront of canopy.

Getting some masking started, the dark grey on fins, cone, bottom, stabs. a little shading on wing features.
Probably not notable but the paint is mildly metallic.

The tribute to Bolton Paul , this is on the old dispatch field in Wolverhampton, the delivery pilots often girls during war time..would deliver them out to required RAF units around the UK.

Getting into the pain job a bit now, difficult paint to photograph...it's bit reflective....thin paint over steel airframe.

I've got a clear coat on now it's a Humbrol semi gloss with a hint of blue in it.
I use Humbrol as it's very durable once dry.

Nice pick! I can't imagine they sell this kit in UK. It is one of those kits commonly seen in stores near schools in China. When I was a kid, I usually spent my pocket money of the week and enjoyed them during the weekend.

We can purchase them on eBay and Alibaba, some model shops stock Minihobby models, they are a sister company to Trumpeter.
They are fun inexpensive little kits ...this is my 5th one.... they can have big gaps sometimes but l enjoy making-good
