Great to see more progress, Kim! Nice and clean build. The "Big Turret" KV is a monster of his own. I'm looking forward to start mine...

has anyone used WORN EFFECTS from AK???? Is dear a alternative for winterchipping. Grtz Kim

yeah Kim, I've used it. You can see the effect on my T34/76 build and Tiger 1.
I've got both AK "Chipping Fluid" and "Worn Effects" and don't think I've ever used the "Chipping Fluid"...
The thing about both of these products is that Vallejo paint doesn't work well as a top coat...The Vallejo tends to come off in too large of pieces......
The only thing I've used the "Worn Effects" for is white washing; and for that I oversprayed with Tamiya white (XF-2)?....
What I really need to do is see how AK's modulation paints work when used in conjunction with either the "Worn Effects" or "Chipping Fluid"..

..Now if you?re thinking of putting a ww on that big ol? KV 2 you?re building, you might want to take a look at AK?s dvd ?Winter Techniques? (or something like that?.
Here, Mig Jimenez paints a REALLY big KV-2 (1:16 scale?). Not sure of the scale, but it?s big.
In the video he uses hairspray.
