Great looking rust on the muffler, how did you do it?

It's very easy. I base coated the muffler in rusty colors (brown, orange) and used a sponge with dark yellow to simulate chipped-off color. Afterwards I just used brown oils to weather it suitably.

Album info

This was a commissioned work, built several years ago, depicting a Flakpanzer IV "Wirbelwind" as part of KG Peiper during the Battle of the Bulge in december 1944. Back then, the far better Dragon kit was not yet available, so a few aftermarket items have been used:

- Royal Model turret
- Armorscale 20mm barrels
- Eduard photo-etch parts
- Friul tracks
- Eduard Zimmerit

This model was featured in the german language edition of "Model Military International" a few years ago.
