Broken-down ex-aviator striving to perfect the art of scale modelling. I was a pro-pilot flying single pilot - most recently in the Pilatus PC12 that's shown in my profile picture. I was unfortunately grounded permanently in June 2011 due to the loss of my Medical Certificate. I've had 2 bouts with cancer (OK now) and a series of 10 spine surgeries (#9 & 10 were last year.) I have no regrets (other than losing my Instructor certificates which were a bear to get in the first place!) because I got to fly some pretty nice equipment, flew to exotic places and met some great people along the way. Not many of us have the opportunity to get paid for their "hobby!" Now I have my ScaleMates!
