KetoujinI have always loved the look and the history behind the "Ko Hyouteki" or "Target Type 'A,'" the code name of the major Japanese midget type operated until later in the war. That this kit is offered to look like the midgets used by the 51st Naval Base Unit on Kiska from July 1942- July 1943 (the midget submariners came to the island on the Chitose seaplane carrier a month after the island was taken by the Japanese SNLF) makes it equally of interest. Since I partially grew up on Kodiak Island at the other end of the Aleutian chain from Kiska and Attu and since I have am fascinated with Japanese history, military history, and submarines particularly, this kit would really touch a nerve with me.
