Should I keep the log (as in the teaser picture), and would be the best realistic way to attach to the model, like the crew would?

Also the model is not complete yet, I still have to put a crew in it (I dread painting figures so this may take a while), ad some other stuff but it's mainly done.
When the model is complete I will take pictures using a neutral background as per suggestion of a fellow modeller, it will be done just dont know when. In the meantime enjoy, thank you for the support and great builds for y'all!!!

Looking at historical photos it does appear that they had logs on the side but it appears it was 3 on each side stacked one on top of the other

@Elmmo, those 3 logs on the side are more associated with finnish stugs, but I suppose the germans would do the same, there are just less pictures of that.
