Since Meng's instruction is much better than Takom's. I started my Meng Apache first and use the build experience for the Takom one later.

Great progress. Compared to TAKOM, MENG has included the right component. In your original picture you can't see any grille, just the radiator and the glass cover in front of it.

Thanks @JollyRogers64. Looks like it, although I'm not too sure if it's a glass or a very fine mesh.

Posted last update after a long hiatus with my wife's health condition. Finished the M230 chain gun and painted the Longbow radar and main body.

Thanks a lot guys. Apologies for the blurry pictures as I took them with my mobile. I think I need to invest in a new camera 🙂

Thanks a lot Rui!
Hi @Airzz, for the base I use AK Real Color RC 229 FS24031 US Helo Drab, mottled with mix of Gunze C12/H52 Olive Drab and C33 flat black and mix of the olive drab with RLM22. I varied the ratios to get more tonal variation.
For weathering, I use Tamiya black panel liner, Mr. Weathering Color Grayish Brown, Sundy Wash, Ocher Soil and some weathering pigments (forgot which one).

thanks man i just got the paint you told me and im working on it rn but im having a hard time fitting the canopy to the frame what did you use to glue it did you also have any problems ?

Yes, the canopy is a bit tricky. I remember that there was a gap on the left lower area that I filled with Vallejo putty. I also had to push the right front up a bit to align with the fuselage. Overall fit is okay, but you need to test fit several times to know the problem area before committing to glue. I used Gunze Mr. Cement SP for the canopy. Hope this helps.
