Not really, the idea is very different.
G-37 could carry different pods depending on a mission - cargo, passenger, paratrooper, bomber etc., moreover, pods were designed to be detachable in flight and could land on their own chutes.

Masking, oh yeah! The most complex scheme I have ever attempted, took me a lot. Add corrugated skin and bad resin adhesion
