Finally finished my Truck, it's a cheap $2 snap kit, with paint, modification and some scratches bits.

That's a cool idea using a car sponge to hold the model. I think I will have to get one.

Regarding the Gnat, use white or pink (really!) as a base coat for yellow and it covers in fewer coats. Tamiya's yellow is probably better than most but it's still a difficult color to work with.

Great π thanks for letting me know, l been a bit confused when I've seen people spraying pink π€?? Then paint over. Now it makes sense will try it next time. Cheers π

Hi Villiers π, l like to see people's build processes, find it interesting and learn too.
So l try to upload myself.

Hi Guyπ thanks π
I like following build processes myself as l have leaned alot and been inspired from other model builders yourself included.
Thanks for interestπ

Hi Gorby π
Thanks π l wanted a ZiL to put beside my Beriev ( got to painted today) The ZiL kits didn't look that great for the money, l like scratch building up little bits so got a cheap M-35 4D kit unfortunately they didn't do a ZiL.
it's ABS so all work in S-glue.

Hi Skyhiker π.
This was my first Album, it was made up before l knew how to sort individual projects ect.
I wasn't to sure if l would find the 4D M35 kit ... So just added it the old album.
I have organised some projects out of it. .. l do move the photos of the current build up to the front.
But it is a bit of a mess that album..π€£

I didn't really understand the meaning of this work. So much time and effort was spent, and the output turned out to be a parody of the prototype Zil-131.

I'd be interested to see if you could do better Dennis.
I think Mr D's conversion is good - particularly considering what he started with and that he is a relatively new modeller.

gorby,I really didn't make the Zil-131, you're right about that.

Hi Denis π
Modeling is what the individual takes from it, l really enjoyed making bits n bobs from scratch and this cheap little truck is a bit of a practice ground for me.
I just want a russian looking truck to park beside my Be-6 project.
It may be strange to others but l like getting cheap kits and seeing what l can make of them ....l suppose I'm changing myself.
Like your Trucksπ Mk1 ZiL, KAMAZ & Ural. a KAMAZ would be nice edition in future.... I may chop up a London bus to create it ?? π€£ Joking!

If you want a challenging London bus conversion, try a Google image search of "dartford tunnel cycle service".
Dare ya! 😄

π€£ l noticed it was a short lived service π².
The bus thing was a joke π see if it tickles someone's OCD π^^
Thanks for supporting comment, lve put the fire extinguisher on my Parody -131 tonight π€.
I'm going to see how the 3 wheelers are getting on now..ππ

I'm of the opinion that if you can't be supportive or at least offer useful constructive advice you should keep you views to yourself. There's no need for such negativity, there's enough of that going on in the rest of the world without it creeping into Scalemates.
The tricycles are going well, although I haven't had time to update the build report for a while. You've reminded me I must get on it. 🙂

I agree Gorby, confidence n progress is built through praise.
Yes time has been a bit short on my end too, managed the fire extinguisher and the paint of trim tabs on be-6....not much more but hopefully over holidays a bit..
This one isn't far off now,
Good luck with your trucks..... Taking nice shape now.πππ

Thanks Gorby ππ it's been enjoyable and project like this give you an excuse to research....which is interesting.
1x project finished before Christmas...... My goal is to have the Be-6 finished by new year.
