Hi Finn, I tend to work on 3 to 4 projects at a time, today I worked on the Spaceship from The Invaders, but should get back to the Hawk next week.
I am hoping to do the Orange version. As I did the white one with the Airfix version.

Calling it a day
About 2/3 of decals now added and a little dry fit to see how she looks.
Happy with progress today. ๐

Day 3 Just under 100 decals later and decaling finished.๐๐๐
Next some hand painting and maybe some construction. ๐ค

Last of the spraying and a couple decals
Next weathering, I prefer pencils to a pin wash, yes a pin wash brings out details, but I find it to heavy unless I am doing ground vehicles.
But it is only a personal preference, there are no rules on how you do your model. ๐

All pencil work done assembled, but for main engine
Next spray Satin Matt Varnish. Add engine then it's finished. ๐

Now completed and I must say its a very good kit. Nice easy to follow instructions. I made this as a straight out the box version so as to compare with the original Airfix version I built. Both are very good kits, easy to construct and you get a nice model at the end. The MPC/ Round2 version is a lot more accurate. ๐

A beautiful result. I am a big fan of the first season series on television.

Now on display at my local model shop for 3 months along with the original Airfix version. Anyone around Bearwood Birmingham UK can see them in the window of Mr Models ๐
