Thanks 🙂 This has to be one of my favourite rally cars but this kit was really disappointing. The decals crumbled to pieces as soon as they got wet, I'm pleased I got it looking as good as I did.

Hi J4.
Yes you pulled of nice job after all, lm a big Peugeot fan , always wanted a 205 GTi as a teen, l still drive a Peugeot today.
I've had some decals lately and they just snapped "brittle" luckily l had few spares as it was aftermarket sheet with extras. l tired very warm water..
And surprisingly made it worse!! In the end l mixed decal softener into the water and let them soak for 5min, that seems to make them workable.
They must be putting to hard a coat on them !!
Great car ๐๐

Great little model of a Peugeot, they've made some great cars, I've owned and drive a 403, a 404,a 504,and a 205.

Mr D, thanks for the tip. I've got a few Heller kits in my stash I'll try adding decal softener to the water if I run into similar problems again.
George, glad you liked the model. I've never actually driven a Peugeot, but given the number of cars I've driven is still in single digits that is not surprising. 😄
