Not much progress on the HLF this past month, instead I've been trying out different chassis/cabs combinations for futur...
Project: HLF Scania P92M - Fire Engine

I'll grab another seat in the front row! I can't miss a fire engine from the fire department. Maybe you can use a few parts of the Revell HLF 20, for example, I do it with my GW-L 2. In any case, I'm very curious what you make of it. Your other projects are always very worth seeing

Just a quick question: I saw that you labeled the parts on picture 4 with "HLF" and "MLF". These are actually typical German terms for emergency vehicles. Do you call the vehicles in Belgium the same way or is there another reason?

Thank you guys for being onboard ! I'm hoping sharing my progress will help me stay accountable and actually finish this one ahah
@Qwertzel I've been seeing your models popping on my feed and seeing that you already have a nice fleet going is what's gotten me to take them back out of their boxes. So thanks for sharing 🙂
For the naming, it's just another case of the german people being more efficient. The naming system in Belgium is a mess ahah

I gotta admit, you can't go far wrong, following Qwerty and his fire engine builds. He's done some very interesting stuff. He made me buy a Simba though, so be wise and hide your wallet when he starts? 😛

Lorraine, I keep noticing you watching? When are you going to put those wing things down, and get some rubber under your feet? We're all waiting for your debut? 😉

Bozzer, still a lot of wings in the queue. But I'm thinking about making a Optimus Prime Truck, the one with flame painting and shiny exhaust pipes😜

Lorraine, you might want to search options for the cab? There's some nice resin stuff out there, that's much better than the AMT cab. But I look forward to seeing whatever you come up with?
Here, every day is an opportunity, to make dreams come true. (Stainless steel drinking straws make excellent exhaust stacks, but I never told you 😉 )

WoW. I've to see this big scratch build. Looking great 👍 Disaster? The cat didn't like it? 🤔

I wish I would have such a stash. Did you see the modern Scania trucks used by Bochum or Gelsenkirchen? Maybe you could make one engine with a rather modern cab but I don't know if your reference fire brigade has such trucks

Yes I like the look of modern Scanias a lot but here cab conversions are quite a bit harder to achieve without going for resin aftermarket kits. The models offered by Italeri mainly focus on the bigger trucks with the bigger engines. I have seen other modelers achieve great results tho so maybe in the future as I hone my skills.
