A paint stash would be nice. Just pick from existing database for starters. Then link to projects so could see paints I used. Hell, even make it easy to order (user named or curated) sets of paints from sponsors!

I thought it was possible to add paints to your ScM stash. I've just tried and yes you can add paints to a project.

I see! somehow it was not obvious (I am just starting to organize). The idea is to help identify missing paints needed for a project which I find it is the hardest part of a project. By now I figured out how to (a) add paints (1 by 1) to my stash and (b) attach a needed paint to a project (from a paint). However...
(a) I have 50+ paints in inventory to add so finding each is a bit of a pain, a csv import would help! I imagine paint Color - ex: xf-85, mmp090 would be sufficient to identify a paint and you could loop over csv rows then suggest paints found, checkbox them and import to stash (or a project).
(b) is it possible to add a paint from "within a project"? Ex: in "Project colors" header present an "Add paint" button and filter just paints for company and/or type desired (ex: Acrylic)
(c) you have or could have lists of _paints_ users attached to finished projects of the same nature (ex: "1941 Zero") so suggesting/importing from existing set would help! (with users acceptance, ex: also share paints used) -- it would be cool to also see those lists in scalemates.com/colors/ !
(c') (btw I noticed Add Project inventory does not refresh - I adjusted my topic from "Pearl Harbour" to "Mitsubishi A6M Zero", saved changes and I get `All items in scale 1:24 and related to Mitsubishi A6M Zero. Use the search to find other items. Results found: 38844 120 mm BAT recoilless rifle` <-- that rifle is result from the old topic)
(d) paint list management is kind of hard as many clicks are involved, so you could do something like below called let's say`Paintboard` (the list is union of paints in stashes and unfinished projects):
Paint Color Stash Project1 Project2
XF-85 <cell with RGB> [x] [ ] [ ]
GNZ-SF292 <cell with RGB> [ ] [ ] [ ]
[Add] [Add] [Add] #the add buttons on checked paints and would work in frame without a need to navigate to stash or specific project; Add under stash would add to stash, Add under project would add to project.
[Add to new wishlist] #grab union of x-ed paints needed, and add after a confirmation to some list
Sorry if i went overboard with specs and ideas but the paint issue is real (for some at least) 😉

if you have 50 paints of the same range, you can select to view the complete range and start adding them. maybe the bar code reader option could also help adding them quickly

Wherever you are on the site, via search, someone else their project, color database, newsfeed you can from there easily add items to your wishlisht/stash/project.
Most of the things you ask is 100% duplication of existing features but just from within the "project page". Not saying they don't make sense, but first try to get used to the system. As you are new, you likely only have uncovered 20% of the features.
eg.
if you find an interesting project Panavia Tornado IDS | Project by TimV (1:32) from there you can add all the stuff you want/need. There is no need to have a search projects from within your project
