Cool project! Looking forward to the camo. 👍
I believe British tanks used them in Berlin around the end of the Cold War. I didn't know German Leopards used them too or at least the Bundeswehr tested the pattern.

I found some photos (5 pcs) about this pattern. So I decided to paint it on this Leo. The British urban camo project is also coming this year.... 🙂

@ WhiteGlint, the Bundeswehr painted up at least one vehicle to test the feasibility during some of their training sessions at an urban part of their Truppenübungsplatz. The 1/35 Border Models kit comes with this set of markings too.
@ Zsolt, the older Matchbox/Revell kit is quite basic but with this PE cladding it definitely looks the part. Interesting to follow along. 👍

Thank you Patrick! This kit demands the upgrades and scratches!
I replaced the plastic handless with PE and cooper wire. The PE part was flat, so I decided to upgrade alsoit with cooper wire.

That is some beautiful PE work there 🙂 Looking forward to the finished camo. If I am correct, we also have the option to do a Chally 2 in this pattern...
6 March 2021, 17:59

Thank you Tom!
The Challenger 2 with urban camo is also planed project for this year.
6 March 2021, 19:11

The PE and scratch works are done. Next step is the painting.
15 March 2021, 12:11

Great work so far. 👍
Looking forward to the paint.
@Patrick Hagelstein: Thanks for the information regarding the camo. Kind of late, sorry 😳
15 March 2021, 12:16

Thank you WhiteGlint!
Köszönöm Tibi, én is "sajnálom", hogy le kell festeni... 😄
15 March 2021, 15:31

I forgot last time that the original vehicle has a DARKAS on the turret, so I had to scratbuild one before painting.
18 March 2021, 20:06

The base color and the first camo color (white) are airbrushed!
20 March 2021, 17:09

So much asking tape 😄
With all that metal, did you use some special primer?
21 March 2021, 19:24

I used AK's acrylic primer. But before I washed the whole model with soapy water and let dry it.
21 March 2021, 20:05

Thank you WhiteGlint!
Meanwhile I faded the ta k with oil paints. It's now a little bit brighter, but the additional weathering will modify the tone.
27 March 2021, 11:31

I agree with WhiteGlint. This build could be presented as 1/35 scale model.
27 March 2021, 11:32

Tha little base for the Leo2 is painted. Still some vegetation are to be added

Excellent work.. lucky to be in for the final pictures... hoping to find that ET-set somewhere
12 April 2021, 06:27

Thank you Bart! If you won't find the ET PE set, try to build the new Border Model Kit. It doesn't need to upgrade,it could be an excellent OOB build.
12 April 2021, 06:40

Bart: I mean this one: Leopard 2A5/A6 (Border Model TK-7201, 1:72)
12 April 2021, 07:48

I think ET fret is distributed by Brengun/Hauler nowadays. Unfortunately they didn't re-release the A4 version 🙁
12 April 2021, 09:26

Łukasz: Hauler has his own Leo2A4 set (HLH72082)
Danke schön Bernhard!
12 April 2021, 14:23

Amazing work! 😮
Incidentally, I've bought some 1/72 AFV kits.... and it's all your fault. 😉
14 April 2021, 15:09

Łukasz: I'm happy to hear that
Gorbygould : I'm glad I'm going to make you do something like this.
14 April 2021, 17:57

What a sight to behold! Congratulations! I'm so scared to build the pe turret baskets on my little Canadian... Your work here is just amazing!
14 April 2021, 18:14

21 April 2021, 14:01

First of all - well done for such a basic kit! The Detail set really sets it to the next level, and your work to it is another step up!
In the picture of E.T. Models its shown that the detail up set has the chains for the smoke launcher, are those really included? Cause it seems like you havent used them/ or they werent there ..?
I'm doing some research for a future project and I want those little chains in 1:72 😅
22 January, 19:26

Thank you Ben for your comment for my old project from 2021! 🙂
The tiny chains for the smoke launchers cap are really there. I also used them, but they are glued only after the weathering process. Check out the last pictures! 😉

Time doesnt change an effort, or does it? 😁
Thanks for the quick answer! I dont know how I overlooked them in the last pics, now I've seen them! Time to get the E.T. kit for my next Border Model Leopard 2A5/A6 Kit in 1:72 😂 (I'm laughing because its going to be my 31th Leopard, since I've started with Model Kits at the age of 8, my 12th Leopard since I came back to the Hobby in 2021... and my 6th out of 9 in total Border Model Leopards then in 1:72 - cause I've got one finished in 1:35 from border too..) 🤣
