TreehuggerWhere do you intend to have this 3d printed if you don't mind saying?
I wish somebody had a good 3d printer down the street, and I could actually produce stuff with ease. :|

What material do you use with your 3D printer? Styrene, resin ? And how do you create the 'mould' ? Do you need to scan original parts ?

Achim Ribbe AuthorThe idea is to create the complete chassis. So that you can build the several variants of IBG. The idea behind is to print and sell the chassis. Thats the idea. At Olivier I use the Nuts and Bolts No42 for Reference. And print the STL-Parts on my Eleego Mars Pro in Resin

TreehuggerI've seen 3d parts for sale, looking similar to what is seen in photo 12, where the 3d printed parts are sort of stacked diagonally of sorts. Why is this an advantage? Does it have anything to do with making more cleaner surfaces?

Achim Ribbe AuthorHello Treehugger...well the "thickness" is growing when you place the part under a angel. When you prepare the model for printing you slice the part. Its like cutting bread. When you cut under 90° to the middleaxis of the bread you will get a circled slice. When you cut under 45° you get a ellipsed slice which is wider. and wider means a better result in printing.

Will you also produce other parts with this great machine of yours ? Maybe some internal parts for radio cars or ambulances ?

Achim Ribbe AuthorHello Mates. Thanks for your comments. I am using the Mars Elegoo Pro 3D-Printer. The price is around 200 Euro. BUT...you also need a expierence in designing parts. And that is something you cant buy or put it in a app. You can buy models to print. Sure.. but that was not in my intention. I wanna create things on my own. I was working more then 30 years in the field of designing molds and dies. And this is now a BIG plus in the things I do.

Joerg R.Ich will nicht kritisieren, du machst da eine tolle Arbeit! Aber die Reifenlauffläche erscheint mir etwas zu gerade. Sollte die nicht etwas mehr gebogen sein? Oder täuscht das auf den Bildern?

Achim Ribbe AuthorHallo Jörg, ich bin immer dankbar für Kritik und Anmerkungen, solange sie sachlich sind. Denn nur so lernt man und kann sich verbessern. Ich weiss nicht ob die Reifen auf den Laufflächen "runder" sind. Ich bin neu in der Branche der Refenhersteller 🙂)

the base design is done. The only thing missing is the trailer. Now the 3D prints atr running. That includes some loops of corrections.
And some things are just too figurative in the end. The tubes of the direction indicators on the left and right were much too thin. I have to increse the diameter on that. One area in the footwell was also much too thin. But step by step I will reach finally my goal
