Thanks Matthias! The kit's barrel had mold marks, seemed too fat, and wasn't very round (or even) after I tried cleaning it up. Fortunately, the barrel on the real gun appears to be a straight tube, so I replaced it with plastic rod and used the kit's flared muzzle. 🙂
