Thank you. I have to be honest, this was not an expensive model and I had my doubts about the raised panel lines and some of the fitting so I just had fun with the paint. Possibly over weathered but all good practice.

Gareth, that`s a nice Cobra!
The paintjob is very convincing. Now she have a character! That`s important....
"...over weathered...." ???????
Where?????
This terms are not well known in my language! LOL
Seriously, I know pictures of original Cobras what you want to denote as "over weathered! 🙂
👍 👍 👍 👍 👍

A well presented "Gun Slinger" Gareth, and necessity is the mother of invention. 🙂 Well Done.

Not yet. Still have a B-17 in the works and just completed a major home project. Didn't want to just jump into it without thinking about the best way to do it. Gary

They are just so functional looking hey. !
And the surface detail is well presented.
Nicely done Gary
Will it be a ceiling dweller or in his own little display case to 'show and tell' at school. ?

Thank you guys. Kerry, it will go to the ceiling where my son's friends (and my wife) can't hurt it.

I used to stare at the ones my brother built and hung by a piece of fishing line for hours.
Now I do the same with the ones in my display case. :-/

Ok, confession time. This was a cheap gift set that came with paints. I didn't look at the instructions that said to mix the Sand paint with the White to get the right colour. I thought it looked too dark so mixed up the lighter colour and covered the main parts of the panels. After decaling I gave it another light coat to "Sun bleach" the markings. So by correcting the wrong colour it's actually given the finished model more depth and nice weathering.
