I've built models since aged 4 starting with Harbutt's "Plasticine" modelling clay. The 1/72 Airfix, Matchbox, Revell & Frog kits followed and I just blossomed with the growth and improvements to our hobby over nearly a half century. Nowadays I will build just about anything that INSPIRES me. What's great is that I never stop learning things.

In the 1970s I joined IPMS(UK) to learn more about techniques and to help other modellers when I could. I founded IPMS Merseyside & District which became The Merseyside Scale Model Club (which the public more easily understood). I also served for about 9 years on the IPMS(UK) National Committee which was fun but left less time for modelling.

I have lots of plastic/resin & metal kits in 1/32, 1/48, 1/350 and 1/35 scale which cover Test & Military Aircraft, Naval Ships, real or fictional Spaceflight, British (Railway) Loco's, Wagons and Coaches and Military Vehicles etc. I'm active in our local Merseyside & District Model Club (IPMS Merseyside). Over the last 30 years I have given talks on modelling techniques and on the history of some commonly modelled subjects. I have made models for kit manufacturers to display their products at Toy Fairs, Chain Stores and Museums.
