How was the building of this kit? Thought of buying it yesterday but wasnt sure, because another P-47 (think it was the D) from Revell is horroable....

This one is my old kit...built maybe 6 years before...It was really pleasure to build...no flaws at all...Do not miss it for the very old Revell P47d (from '60....) If mold for this one "M" is not spoiled, this one could be winner!

Ok that sounds good. I think I meant the Skill 2 Kit (the D-Version) which is really bad.... But thx for the info 🙂

You can make D-25 version, D-28 version from this one...This mean, D-25re is without fin fillet, D-28re is with fin fillet, as M . The main difference is in engine...Try to find on net, where is that difference or what is...i think that is not problem to modify M engine to D version...I have one more M, to make D version without fin fillet, but at the moment, i do not know, what I exactly must to do with engine, but, I'll find out!
Or, You can try with Academy "Eileen"...some said the this one have more appropriate "legs" than Revell....

Nicely done Kerber, very nice...🙂👍
Is it the same Plane as Erik Alles??? the markings look very similar as does the cockpit!!!
Forgive me if my question is obvious, but I'm not well versed in Military, still learning😄

Nice one!
One can't have enough of these colourful 56th FG Jugs. 👍
@Steve
Same Fighter Group, different squadron. Kerber's Jug depicts Capt. Charles McBath's mount. 63FS, 56FG, 8 AF, Boxted, England, May 1945
Mine depicts George Bostwick's Jug. 63FS, 56FG, 8 AF, Boxted, England, May 1945

thnx for your comments! Erik answered well. If i am in right, almost all Jugs of 56.FG had unique camo..

Moram da priznam da mi je, od svih varijanta farbanja Tanderbolta, ova bila najmanje simpatična. Sve do sada. Tek sada vidim koliko dobro izgleda. Odličan rad, drugar! 🙂

Album info
Revell 1/72, out of box, except paper-made safety belts at the pilot seat.
Colors are mixed, as Revell recommended...so, i am not so sure about, but...this is it.
The Revell kit is easy to make, no flaws at all...some said that main "legs" are too short or too long, but, i like this "Racing Thunderbolt"...It has something.
