Freut mich 🙂

24 August 2015, 06:15

The cockpit without anything is almost done.
Little bit of dry-brushing and a clear coat and I think its done.
2 September 2015, 19:22

Managed to do a little bit of progess today!
Next step is finishing the cockpit and then comes the marriage between the 2 body parts!
13 September 2015, 17:08

That looks very promissing! Do You have any ideas about the camo so far?
13 September 2015, 17:16

Thx Christian!
I will probably paint it in the camo from the box - so nothing special there! 🙂
13 September 2015, 17:26

Well, I think that a bare metal finish would look nice on this one.
13 September 2015, 17:34

As I have this kit in my stash as well I plan to do it that way. The mixture of bare metal and wood is very interesting in my opinion.
lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/Waffen/EF128.htm
Painting the model this way would be a nice addition to Your Horten.
13 September 2015, 17:48

True, but Im also thinking of making a EF 128 in the markings of the JG 400, because my Ho 229, my P.1099 and the upcoming 163 will have their markings.
13 September 2015, 17:57

It`s up to You, have fun! 🙂 BTW... What 163 are You talking about?
13 September 2015, 18:06

It is only a "idea" till now, but it will be the Academy kit.
13 September 2015, 18:07

Thats really great to hear, because Ive two of them in my stash! 🙂
13 September 2015, 18:40

The cockpit is now ready and the main parts are glued together.
Next step is glueing the wings and then some filling! 🙂
8 October 2015, 17:39

Looks good, I love Luft '46 stuff, this looks like a nice little kit
8 October 2015, 18:03

Thx Wim!
Yeah it is really nice but also really basic! 🙂
So a good kit in between
8 October 2015, 18:06

The wings are only dry fitted, because I stll need to fill and sand some spots on the body
10 October 2015, 21:23

The fit of the canopy is sadly nowhere near great... I probably need to sand some parts after I filled and sand the spots between wing and body.
11 October 2015, 08:11

following 🙂
looks great, ive been looking to start on this kit myself.
11 October 2015, 08:55

First layer of primer down.
Next step is now to fix some gaps etc. and then prime this spots again.
11 October 2015, 15:40

This one will come out very nice! As I always had a week spot for Huma kits, this one is no exception. Keep on like this!
11 October 2015, 17:09

The fuselage looks a little bit like a Vampire. Nice and sharp work Soeren!
11 October 2015, 17:44

The kit got his primer, but still have to fill some little spots and after that comes the paint job 🙂
24 January 2016, 11:34

I notice you are switching from rampant buyer into rampant builder mode 😄 👍👍👍
24 January 2016, 13:05

Haha 🙂 Yeah, if I want to build my stash in my life time. Ive to start somewhere. 😄
24 January 2016, 13:25

Its a nice little kit.
Of course it has some flaws, but nothing serious 🙂
24 January 2016, 20:58

Bottom color down and the pre-shading is still a little bit visible.
I think that should do it 🙂
25 January 2016, 16:49

FIrst top color down.
Next step is now to mask it for the second color.
1 February 2016, 19:16

Thx a lot Hanno 🙂
I hope the shades will be still visible after I sprayed the brown parts, but I think I will re-spray them before I paint the spots brown. 🙂
1 February 2016, 19:42

Thx a lot Cristian. 🙂
I hope it will look still good, after the brown was painted.
2 February 2016, 09:36

The production also begins to run with you 🙂🙂. Nice little plane, Soeren
2 February 2016, 12:57

Thx Martien 🙂
I hope I will finish more kits this year than 2015 😛
2 February 2016, 13:04

Paintjob is done.
Now a coat of clear to prepare the kit for the decals 🙂
Im quite happy with the result so far, even it wasnt the easiest build.
2 February 2016, 19:09

One of the best Huma builds I`ve seen so far! Please use aftermarket decals and not the crude ones that come with the kit. 👍
2 February 2016, 20:35

Thank you both 🙂
@Christian
I must have a look , if i find some fitting decals (maybe from by Ho 229 build)
2 February 2016, 21:01

It`s Luft `46 so all You need are some "Balkenkreuze" No big thing I think 🙂
2 February 2016, 21:14

Wouldn't it have been better to paint the vertical tailplanes before assembly?
3 February 2016, 11:04

It probably would, but I need some filler between the wing and the tailplane.
And it also worked out this way in the end😉
3 February 2016, 11:24

FIrst layer of clear is now sprayed. Next step are the decals, but I still need to look for some better decals than the kit decals - which are crap!
4 February 2016, 05:16

Thank you Antonio.
Im also happy with the result so far.😉
A few weeks backs, I was considering to throw this kit away.....
4 February 2016, 05:34

Looking good! I like Luft'46 stuff a lot, you can do whatever you like. Hope you can source some decent decals for this bird
4 February 2016, 09:07

Thx Winn😉
I think that Ive found some good ones for that.
Luckily I still have a second sheet for the Ho 229 from Revell and those decals should fit for this kit.
4 February 2016, 09:21

Decals are now done. I ordered "Balkenkreuze" from Techmod and used those.
6 February 2016, 21:10

Techmod is always a goog choice when it comes to German markings. I like this stuff!
6 February 2016, 21:21

Its still has some flaws but nothing really serious and which will be prevented next time😉
And please excuse the dust, but the Alclad Klear is a bit magnetic or whatever ..... 😛
7 February 2016, 18:29

Well Soeren, as some people may know I`m a big fan of these kits made by HUMA. Your model is one of the best I`ve seen so far! Excellent work! 👍 👍 👍
7 February 2016, 19:14

Thanks a lot Ulf.
Im happy that I finally finished it, after it was standing over 5 months on the shelf of doom😉
