holy mozes, that's about as good as it gets................

the best naked aircraft I've ever seen! Congratulations for your patience! 🙂

Whow this is really a breathtaking beauty you created there! Can you explain me what kind of rigging thread you did used and how you managed to fix the hooks for the thread? I have the same airplaine (not the stripped down Version) in my stash and wait until I have the courage to start it...

Hallo Thomas, ein Link zur Entstehung des Kunstwerks modellboard.net/index.php?topic=55089.0 , bughunter zeigt in dem BB den wirklichen Nervenkrieg

Thank you, mates! I like the result too, even if it was the model with the biggest effort.

Thank you! Idea stolen from Dmitriy: add a screen shot of the Eduard web shop with this model.

Great job, defiantly a piece of eye candy and a competion winner.👍👍👍
20 February 2019, 22:51

Thank you mates! Regarding competition: I won Bronze with it in Fürstenfeldbruck
(nice row: Demoiselle 4th, D.H.2 Stripdown 3rd, last year Nieuport 17 Flyboys 2nd place.
So how to continue this row this year? with MOAB and Bristol Fighter I hope).

Ufff... you know that sound your eyes make when they snap open so wide, so fast, that they make a puff of air...

THIS IS WHAT THIS MASTER SAYS IS HIS MASTERPIECE (OR ONE OF THEM)....EASY TO SEE WHY

Thank you Lochsa! I have also a normal kit of the D.H.2 in stash to build it one day (again with metal booms) to display both together.
29 January 2022, 12:41

Looking forward to that one Frank. The D.H.2 is my favourite WWI bird. 🙂
29 January 2022, 16:34

Now i see why you call yourself Bughunter. You must be part spider to weave that web!
29 January 2022, 20:55

Thank you mates!
David, this build was done long ago, but I mentioned this as masterpiece, so Lochsa digged it out of the deep of SM 🙂
John, my username has its roots in the hunt for software errors, the so-called bugs.

Thx! Another stripdown in 1:48 would be cool, may be a Camel? Hello Eduard!
2 September 2023, 09:28

This looks next level. I've never seen anything like this before but it looks perfect.
2 September 2023, 21:03

Thank you David!
I still like it, but as I build this 7 years ago I would do some things in a different way today. I meantime I learned a lot and we have now better accessories.
3 September 2023, 12:21

Wow, like David, I've never see anything like it. It must have taken at least a couple of hours to build 🙂
3 September 2023, 12:33

For sure! The internal rigging in the wings alone - it eats the Gaspatch turnbuckles for breakfast. 😉
3 September 2023, 12:44

I forgot to mention: this was the only strip down model by Eduard in 1:48 so far, but you should not miss my other ones in 1:72! Here Eduard has created 6 kits. The Fokker Dr.I was released again in a reworked edition, so this can be seen as number 7. I have not yet build all, but here is my collection: bughunter

It is an older model, but due to all the recent interest and the new likes I replaced all pictures by identical one, but much bigger size according to the new rules. As this shows much more detail it was worth the effort.
I really like pic 17 because it dhows the crazy rigging 🙂
