The cockpit is to 90% finished.
Only the decal and a washing are missing.

Welcome Lukasz and David;)
It is indeed exotic and so far a really nice kit
23 April 2017, 04:58

And as I expected a little bit of filler (more or less) is needed for this kit.
The fitting is not the best, but still good.
24 April 2017, 19:49

Maybe it was designed the way, the filler will prevent it from tailsitting? 😉
25 April 2017, 06:19

😄 Sadly not. That will do the weight in the nose.
The instructions said you need 25g in the nose.
25 April 2017, 06:29

Very nice progress, like I said in another forum 👍
I started with mine yesterday ...

The cockpit is now finished and the next step is to fill & sand some spots.
Hopefully I will spray some primer on it in the next couple days.

It really helps and always easy to remove even if its glued with Kristal Klear.

Thx Christian,
I used this one:
umpretail.com/collec..ate-primer-60ml-grey
A really great product and I can only recommend their products.

Engine is painted in Aluminium from AK Metal Xtreme and the first parts of masking are done, too.
10 May 2017, 18:07

One side of the wing got the second color and Im think it looks quite good so far.
11 May 2017, 20:19

Some minor adjustments on the Dark Earth are still to do and after that the walk way and the black on the nose.
12 May 2017, 16:18

Thanks a lot Gordon. 🙂
Ive now painted the anti-glare black on the nose.
Only thing missing now are the walk ways and then the paint job should be done. 🙂
13 May 2017, 06:19

That's quick, wish my paintjob were so fast... 😉
Btw. what's that transparent jig you use?
13 May 2017, 06:27

Looks great, camouflage came out great. I wish I could work so fast !
13 May 2017, 07:49

The first walkway is now painted in Tire Black from Gunze.
Think it looks much better than a decal. 🙂
14 May 2017, 19:11

Nice clean build Sören. Bought me Strikemaster in 1/48 recently, nice aircraft! Yours is turning out great, off course!
19 May 2017, 20:32

Thx mate. Glad that you re like it. 🙂 Btw it isnt so clean at all- especially the under side has some flaws.
19 May 2017, 20:42

Thx Clifford. 🙂
90% of the Decals are now applied - only some stencils on the belly are missing, which I will do later.
25 May 2017, 12:05

Bottom is almost finished, too. Sadly I noticed that the kit will be tailsitter, even with weight in the nose.
With that problem I decided to glue it on the base - lucky for me, because you dont see the not so good belly in the end 😉
25 May 2017, 19:57

Pretty exotic indeed. South Arabian Air Force, I had to google it to find out what's it all about. Waiting for the end result.

Finished 😉
26 May 2017, 11:46

It looks good. My Canberra ended up a tail sitter, even with 8oz of lead in the nose. So it to will get glued to a base.
27 May 2017, 01:02

I glued it too
