Hi Gregory.Very nice result. Thats a very convincing weathered metal finish. Could I ask - what was it you dropped on the wings to get the stains ? Is that salt ? Good technique.

Thanks to all, and yes Mike its salt on a darker first paint pass through, then highlights. Canopies didnt work out well though, might redo them. Thanks for your comments, any criticism/suggestion for future amelioration very welcome.
