Bill Newcomer ForfatterSand dollar, a very accurate description. I do like that they are very unique and I don't think they would look appropriate on any other car. I still may change my mind though. The tires are pad printed BFGs with Goodyear Polyglass bias ply tread. Looks kinda weird since I know what BFG tread pattern looks like.

Bill Newcomer ForfatterMaking slow but steady progress. Pulled off the 'wrong' pad printed BFG tires with the Goodyear tread. Replaced them with the proper Goodyears. Lettering done with white Gelly Roll pen. Used my backer rod trick to keep the "air" in the tires since there are no rim lips for the tire beads.

Bill Newcomer ForfatterCalling this one done. Struggled with getting Testors red tube glue to actually join the (apperently NOT styrene) plastic parts. Had to resort to other adhesives. Had to pull it apart a few times to get the rear axle to settle low enough. Took longer than I thought it would but I added more detail than I originally planned. Comments welcome.

Bill Newcomer ForfatterThanks Nigel. The kit actually came with a pre-drilled distributor and the yellow wires. The holes in the heads needed some opening though.

My diorama is nearly finished so I wanted to get back to building cars. I picked the easiest one in my inventory. A Testors metal pre-painted Boss 351 in my favorite color combo. The instructions and grille says it is a 1971. Everything else about it says it is a 1973. Calling this one done.
