Papercraft Sherman M4/FL 10

The long part's over - printing and cutting out the pieces. Now time for the hard part - assembly! Printed it in black and white because this one is just a quick build, not one for the display shelf. 

Oh dear... seems like I've forgotten to scribe the folds I need to make before gluing the hull down. I'll pay for this dearly. Ordinarily I would just reprint the paper, but let's see if I can push through this. 

Here's what I mean. Unscribed paper tends to do this, quite often... But since this piece is little more than structural support and most of the flaws will be hidden away, I'll let it slide. 

Base done. The hull will fit over this like a shell. 

Now for the tracks! Since these are so long and unwieldly, I want to get them out of the way as soon as possible. 

One track down. In this template the track is modelled as part of the side of the tank. 

Both tracks done. Also trimmed excess paper from the sides. 

Onwards to the hull!  

 

Disaster has struck! While I was gluing on the engine deck, the hull began to bend under its own weight! Strips of card are about all I can do in the hull's current state. The goal now is to get this onto supports as quickly as possible.
