My models in 1:144 scale

October 6, 2022Germanwings Airbus A319 (D-AKNF), my first model after almost 20 years, and my first painted model ever. Built from a Revell kit; brush-painted with Revell Aqua acrylics. Had severe fit problems applying the cabin window decals, so I finally decided to omit them, plus I simply forgot to apply the decals that were to be placed at the roots of the horizontal stabilizers. Completed on 31 January 2022.2
October 6, 2022Wizz Air Airbus A320 (HA-LPL), built for my brother as a gift. Yes, I managed to screw up the painting under the purple middle fuselage decal, as it turned out to be translucent (this became obvious only after applying, of course). Built from a Revell kit with IAE engines from the A319 kit (built with CFM engines, see previous picture), brush-painted with Revell Aqua acrylics, except for the magenta colour, which came from Vallejo. Decals are from BOA and Pas Decals. Completed on 4 April 2022.3
October 6, 2022Ilyushin Il-62 "Classic" of Aeroflot (RA-86517), from a Zvezda kit, which I got as a gift from my brother. Brush-painted, with Tamiya acrylics, including my first attempt at windshield painting. A straightforward build, apart from the landing gears. Completed on 21 April 2022.4
October 6, 2022Antonov An-124 Ruslan "Condor" of Aeroflot (RA-82021), built from a Revell kit, which I also got as a gift from my brother. A huge and well-detailed model, it was a difficult build for me, even though no serious fit issues etc. encountered (except the area near the tail cone, where significant force had to be applied to keep the fuselage halves together while the glue was drying). Brush-painted with Revell Aqua acrylics. I didn't actually count them, but it felt as if several hundred decals were to be applied. Completed on 11 June 2022.5
October 6, 2022Beriev A-50 "Mainstay" of the Russian Air Force (50 red/RF-50601), built from a Zvezda kit, which was a gift from my brother again. My first military aircraft model to be painted. Painting was done with brush, with Tamiya acrylics. I chose to apply masking in as few places as possible (which may be noticeable on the final result). I had a little difficulty fitting the wings to the fuselage, otherwise it was another straightforward build. Completed on 8 August 2022.6
September 12, 2024Tupolev Tu-134UBL "Crusty" of the Russian Navy (54 white/RF-12037), built from a Zvezda kit, which was a gift from my brother again. Painting was done with brush, with Tamiya acrylics. I chose to apply no masking (which may be noticeable on the final result). The build was straightforward, only the landing gears proved to be fragile and fiddly to assemble. Completed on 12 September 2024.
