72 Büssing-NAG BN9b (Bulgarian designation for Sd.Kfz.6) were delivered between February and October 1941. Fahrgestellnummers were from #5001 to #5072.The vehicles were Typ BN9b, but had a unique feature-higher center of the rear frame.Their primary role was towing heavy artillery pieces-15 cm sFH 18 and 10.5 cm sK 18.Both guns had weight exceeding the towing limits of the prime-mover, but Germany was not willing to provide the more powerful Sd.Kfz. 7 in adequate numbers, so these pieces were towed either in tandem(BN9b towing the gun carriage minus the dismantled barrel and MAN G2 towing the barrel on a transporter) or with the barrel locked in a travel position. There are no survivors today.
