251 Dio

Very early days. Bit of a background project 

 

Bit more progress on the 251, needs a matte coat. I'll then put the top on and finish off the build. 

 

Driver has been finished and is now enclosed in his driver's seat 

 

Have made some good progress and a first attempt at whitewash using Tamiya's chipping fluid. 

 

Very slow progress on getting this one together, struggled a lot with assembling the house 

Inspired by Mark Broughton's build, I've added some beams to the roof space. It was a bit barren without them, I've also made the fence at the kit part was really only one sided. 

I'd originally wanted to do a similar house colour to what is on the box art, but thought it would be too similar to my half tracks base colour. I used Tamiya's X3 Royal Blue lightened with a lot of white. 

First attempt at making a tree. Pretty happy with the results 

Nice to see it starting to come together. Still lots to do but feeling good about it.
