SH-60B Armada Española, Hasegawa 1:72

The sonobuoy rack. Scratched way before I had the 3D printer. 

The interior was reworked from scratch.

First usable prints of the rotorhead. I made many more in earlier stages as trials.

Fusion 360 can be quite tricky sometimes. The blade hinges are symmetrical (blades fold aft, so that two fold clockwise and two fold ccw). Fusion does not easily allow you to make changes in orientation of parts that are replicas of some other part. That is, it treats them as not independent entities.
In order to be able to do the required changes I had to disable the timeline, which is a very useful feature of Fusion 360 but that, as seen, has its drawbacks. I worked from them on in Direct Modeling mode, which allowed me to complete it. 

 

Test fit of the new rotor head on top of the helicopter. Happy how it came off, let's hope I don't ruin it too much when adding some hoses (very prominent on the real thing) and painting it.
I already made the trusses for the blades in copper tubing from Albion Alloys and will get around to designing and printing the clamps that hold the blades in the trusses when folded. 

The kit has no detail in the turboshaft exhaust pipes. There is just a concavity. I was going to put some FOD covers there but thought it wouldn't be difficult to get something better there. So I drafted a turbine face in Fusion... 

I also drafted the folding tail hinge. I kept it relatively simple because it will print out rather small (aprox 5x8mm for the whole assembly). 

Setting up the slicing... 

These are the prints of the hinges. I printed these as a complete assembly and also as separate parts... 

And here are the exhaust...2mm outer diameter, these are rather small. 

The exhaust opened up and the printed parts in place.
