1: 72 Renault FT-17 with full Interior

I first made the top cover of the engine out of copper plates. Because the original part has no details in the direction facing the inside. A small problem with it is that it is too heavy and cannot be kept open very well. 

The crew hatch is very simple. Just sand and add rivets. Rivets are made using TRUMPETER punches. 

The floor uses a 1:350 scale ship-grade anti-slip etched sheet. 

 

 

I simplified the gear shifter. Full details are not realistic for a 1:72 scale.

You can imagine how uncomfortable this seat is 🙂 

 

I hesitated for a long time between machine guns and artillery. Finally, I chose artillery. The ammunition rack for artillery shells only needs to be drilled. It is much easier than making machine gun drums. 

 

 

 

 

 

This is the part I am most satisfied with. Although it cannot be seen after completion🙁 I used a spring with an outer diameter of 0.45mm and inserted a 0.3mm copper rod in the middle. Amazing level of detail, I think it’s no problem to zoom in to 1:35 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I tried to make the engine as simple as possible. As you can see, it is just a simple geometric block. After putting it into the car body, you can only see the most superficial things. 

 

 

 

 

The turret has significantly less work than the hull. Flyhawk has already given cannon breech. I simply added the ammo rack, sights and breech block. 

 

These soldiers were given to me by a friend. In fact, the proportions may not be correct. But it doesn't matter. You can add or remove them at any time. They are put together just for fun. Contrast between girls and tanks. (remind you of a certain anime,Doesn't it?) 

 

 

In fact, the painting work on the engine was very poor. At this stage, time is my biggest enemy. I'm about to go abroad for studies, so it's very likely I won't be able to complete it. I didn't have the right metallic paint for the engine, so I chose a paint and color I had never used before. As it turned out, the finish was terrible. It's really unfortunate that, due to the time constraints mentioned earlier, I didn't have the time to finish this project myself. I sent it to my friend, and some parts were damaged during shipping. He took care of the remaining work and the final assembly. For this reason, I don't have the process pictures of the weathering. I only have the final two photos of the finished product.
