FROG 1/72 Grumman Wildcat - No. F242F [1972 release]
I have always wanted to have this kit built and finally I have one made. This was a fun build, straight out of the box but I made the main wheels a little thicker since they were both too skinny. A thin styrene sheet that was cut into shape did the job. Hand brushed using Vallejo paints.
I used the decal that came with the Frog kit, there were two sets. I used the markings for a Martlet Mk. IV, 896 Squadron, Fleet Air Arm, HMS. Pursuer, February 1944.
