Christian first of all thank you.
Result might look intricate on the eye; tedious, yes but believe me it is far from hard. all you need is a sponge and liquid mask (i used micro mask) and that's about it. planning and logic is required of course.
steel > liquid mask > zinc chromate > liquid mask outsides > NONacrylic basecolor(s)
once everything is down lukewarm water and a soft brush and it's love all night! 😄
as for the decals, use the most powerfull decal setting solution (i am using a local brand, it will melt anything including the paint!) and pinch the decals with a sharp object while they are still mushy and conforming to the surface. once they are completely dry and settled gently polish with a pad and you'll see the pinched sections begin lifting or peeling off since they remain proud.
