Thanks for following along gentlemen. That kit was a gift from my wife when I went into the Army in 79. It went through a number of moves including three trips to Europe and back. It was way overdue getting built.

Amazing job! I've always wanted to build this, but wasn't sure what to expect. Good to know the Vector engine is a perfect replacement. I'll have to find one.

It came out incredibly well if there were a lot of issues with fit. Very nice build and beautifully painted.

Jennifer, I usually paint flat finishes for aircraft. I had to talk to some car modelers to get hints and tips on gloss finishes. It takes a lot of sandpaper with 2 extra 0s on the right like 4000, 8000, 12000. I have a pre-war Dauntless in silver and yellow USMC markings that will need a similar finish.
