Basic cockpit assembled and ready for paint

Oh dear, one seat headrest short shot .. 

The engineering on this kit is simply astounding 

One half of the fuselage with the intake trunking 

From the top . Everything just slots in , no fuss no drama. Well done airfix 

First colour on top of primer. The red was achieved using Humbrol “fire Orange” . Straight this is too pink so this was applied over a base coat of Tamiya Red to give the shade I was after whilst still maintaining the fluoro finish 

Silver airframe colours added to the wings 

Repair to the short shot headrest turned out ok
