I assembled this many years back after having purchased it in a second-hand store. I painted directly onto the plastic, and it turned out alright, but the assembly was a bit tough due to the old tool. Initially, I left many seam lines. After having accidentally broken it (wings and gear detached) by dropping it while on a precarious display shelf, I took the opportunity to touch up the paint and fill seam lines (the gear was a pain to assemble both times). I'd like to try out Airfix's recent-ish Wellington Mk. II C. I like the plane and would enjoy the new tool (and interior).
