S-3A Viking

It was a mistake to buy such an old model but I didn't find anything better that this. Nevertheless, I was impressed by the quality, as all the main parts fitted perfectly without visible seams. I tried to cut some panel lines but I don't have enough skills and patience to do this properly, so I quickly abandoned the idea.

To paint it, I bought additional masks which were very helpful. The "insignia white" from Hattaka is not bright enough, but reworking the model was too much for me, so I left it as it is. Original decals are really great and quite sufficient for the scale.

The most challenging was tinting the canopy, so I repainted it four times from the inside until it looked more or less good, in my opinion. Everything else was quite easy.

I've added a couple of Harpoons although I'm quite aware that they were not supported by S-3A and in general were not used often. But I had them in stock, so why not to add them?
