I always wonder why Hasegawa and Kinetic calls the Israeli F-16D models "Brakeet", as it should be "Barak" just like the C models...
Nice project though Michael 🙂

You know Erik, I wondered the same thing. So I did a little research, and come to find out Brakeet (Thunderbolt) is the upgade of the Barak (lightning), so it is actually F-16D Barak Brakeet. 🙂
Edit: Now that I read more this may not indeed be true. Lots of confusion in discussions I have come across. So maybe there is no such Brakeet afterall....

Another masterpiece from mr. Phillips coming through......
Front seat please and make it quick, because this project could be finished in no time😉

Indeed Michael did read the same thing a while ago too. The great www.F-16.net website also never mentions the term Brakeet. It looks like someone at Hasegawa HQ made this name up while under influence of some Asian psychedelic substances and someone at Kinetic HQ, in proper Chinese behavior, copied the name 🙂

That copying part sounds plausibel to me Erik.
I read somewhere in a kit review that Hobby Boss copied the mold line from another manufacturer in their own kit as some sort of panel line 🙂

I'm sorry Arne but Brakeet is totally false. Actually there is no name 'Brakeet' existing for aircraft in IAF inventory – all IAF F-16C/D are referred to as 'Barak'.
