It's a solid build! When it comes to paints, remember that the best way to improve is practice, that's what I remind myself when I'm not happy with a paint job. I really like the green basecoat. And well done on the decals!

I agree with RicoSwavey, practice makes...... Loads of good modelers on here to ask for tips and advice. Did you use thinners with the paint? Looks a little thick maybe, especially at this scale.

Hi Mr James 🙂 I try to thin my paints using water, but I found this grey (in particular) to be fairly poor quality. Perhaps it was past it's "best before date".

Album info

Only my second build. Not very happy with the painting, but practice, practice, practice! I remember making this plane when I was a boy - i.e. 50 years ago, but we never painted our models back then. I saw a Skyhawk IRL when I visited San Diego a few years ago, and a friend of mine also reminded me that the Australian Navy used to fly these planes as well.
