Looking good so far mate - doesn't the Bf 109 have a panel line that runs along the top of the spine? I ask because I've heard this before, but I don't think I've ever seen a photo of one. I've never built a 109, so I've not researched the topic.

Hi Bill - Yes there is a seam along the top and bottom of the fuselage. Eduard have put their very fine rivets down the seam, but these were lost during construction. The seam on the real Bf 109 is almost invisible at this scale, so I decided to go without it rather than going through the pain of rescribing and riviting it. I'm no rivet counter, so i don't think it was neccessary.

Zimmer - Yes this is the new tooling. It's a fantastic kit for such a low price too (£22)

Holger: Markings will be the same as the box art - Brown 13, Fw. Kurt ?Kuddel? Ubben, 6.(J)/TrGr.186, March 1940

Here you can find 2 original pix of the mashine. Eyewittnes say that the colour was definately red. Kuddel archieved 111 victorys and was stationed just a few meters from my actual location.🙂
