Beautiful job on a very old kit. My father built that kit and wired ig to the ceiling of my bedroom when I was a kid.

That looks great Clifford π I remember building this kit as a kid. So nice to see it brought back to life again.

Thank you very much Nathan. It was a fun build. I hope to get the either the Hobby Boss or GWH offering. I have another one of these. I have wanted the Monogram kit for many years and finally decided to get one, well I got 2. The Kelik 3d interior works great in it.

Thank you very much Mr D. I think the ones I have are the 1975 issue. How is the Flyhawk SBD? I have never seen a Flyhawk kit.

Hi Clifford π.
The kit looks really good quality, quite a big box for 1:72 with lots of contents and good colour coded instructions..
Flyhawk is mostly a ship model manufacturer, so l think there selling them at a low price to get noted for aircraft.
I got my kit on sale on AliExpress for Β£15.
I'm build a 33yr old Beriev kit at min, going ok...but don't know how decals will be after 33yrs!?.
Thanks for showing the TBD... really like it πππ

You are most welcome sir. I am trying to get my Hurricane MK I finished. It is the first Hurricane I have ever built. It is the Airfix offering, I bought it when it was first released, and it had several problems. Short shots on the cockpit floor and framing, so had to scratch build some stuff. It is in final assy now. I guess they corrected these in later boxings.

Album info
Monogram's 1/48 TBD-1 Devastator. Another total re-scribe, but a very nice kit. Done as ENS. George Gay's aircraft. The only suviror of VT-8 during the Battle of Midway.
