This kit has been looking at me every time I open a drawer in my cupboard. I do like a P38 but this has been a fight all the way. I would pick iit up and put it down, maybe rub down a bad join and look despairingly at the undercarriage. Now in a fit of activity I hacked away at the weirdly shaped radio set with grand ambition to scratch build a slightly less weirdly shaped radio set.
The undercarriage was flimsy and unable to take the extra nose weight with any confidence. So, using a combination of blu tack, filler and prodding we're now wheels up.
Some plasticard, milliput and some prodding later and I have reshaped a spot for the radio gear. No idea where to start with fabricating a 1/72 sized radio though.
